Trouble brewing at Steer Town Academy after principal sacked

By Prince Moore

Trouble is brewing at Steer Town Academy in St. Ann after word came that Sharn Mongal was removed from his post as principal of the institution.

Radio Jamaica News was informed that the board, in a majority decision, voted for Mr. Mongal to be dismissed.

A video then surfaced Wednesday evening showing what appeared to be furniture being removed from the principals office.

Radio Jamaica News also obtained a copy of a memo sent to parents, advising them of a meeting to be held at 7 o'clock Thursday morning at the school gate.

The issue arose from investigations into allegations of cheating at Steer Town Academy for the May and June 2022 sitting of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Exams.
