The two teenagers who were charged with murder by the Major Investigation Division (MID) after being nabbed in Hopewell Hanover last week are being investigated for other gun related crimes.
The teens - 18 year old Daniel Knott of Grange Hill, Westmoreland and 19 year old Dondre Wilson of Springfield in Morant Bay, St Thomas - are suspected to have been involved in contract killings and other crimes in Western Jamaica.
They have also been charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The teenagers were captured on August 15. They were reportedly seen lurking near a supermarket when they were nabbed.
The police reported that two illegal guns, three magazines and 62 rounds of ammunition were found in their possession.
A motorcycle was also seized.
Investigators report that, in addition to the gun related charges, Knott has been charged for a double murder in Pumpkin Bottom, Hanover on August 1.
Daniel Wilmot and 32 year old Denisha Orriggio were fatally shot by armed thugs at their home.
