UCASE President Vincent Morrison

The Union of Clerical Administrative and Supervisory Employees (UCASE) is warning of further unrest among industrial security guards come next year.
UCASE President Vincent Morrison says the vexed issue of fixed-term contracts remains outstanding.
Mr. Morrison says the challenge to the contracts will continue into 2025.
"In fact, we are now in the courts with Guardsman/Marksman regarding the contract that they gave to the workers to sign, which extinguish all their benefits. You have workers, 45, 43, 25, 30 years' serving, and they were given a contract to sign that clearly would extinguish all their service, all of their benefits. Those workers who refuse to sign have not been able to resume work, they have not allowed them to come back. And we believe that that is dismissal," argued Mr. Morrison.
He is hoping the Ministry of Labour will intervene to help address these issues.
