The St. James police are probing the fatal shooting of an unidentified man in Irwin Heights, Mount Salem, on Monday night.
Shortly before midnight, residents heard gunfire and summoned the police.
The body of the victim was found in a gutter with multiple bullet wounds.
Five murders were recorded in western Jamaica on Monday.
