A woman is in hospital and her boyfriend in custody after she was injured during an argument in Downs, Manchester on Tuesday morning.
Radio Jamaica News understands that the man used a knife to inflict a wound to the woman's throat.
The incident occurred sometime after 7 o'clock.
The Alligator Pond police have confirmed that the man is in custody.
