Chairman of CACIROM Dickon Mitchell has declared that the regional block is not worried about the threat of mass deportation of illegal aliens by the incoming United States President, Donald Trump.
Mr Mitchell, the Prime Minister of Grenada, is instead encouraging the people of the region to return to their homelands as economic times have changed for the better.
He contends that, whatever policy the US implements under Donald Trump, it will have a minimal disruptive effect for Caricom nationals
Nevertheless, he said Caricom members states will continue to monitor the situation to see how it plays out.
During his election campaign, Trump had stated that under his administration, the immigration policy will include mass deportations for illegal immigrants.
