St Lucia PM offering Security Minister post to anyone who can handle crime

St Lucia Prime Minister Phillip J Pierre is offering the post of National Security Minister to anyone who can deal effectively with the murder situation in the country.

At least 30 people have been killed so far this year.

The latest murder occurred on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters, Mr Pierre said he was at his wits end and would listen to anyone who believes he or she has the answer.

He says he is saddened at the continued loss of lives particularly that of young people.
