Nine overseas based players have been included in Jamaica’s 20-man squad named for the CONCACAF Men's Under-20 Championship which kicks off in Honduras on June 18.
The overseas contingent includes five from England in Chelsea's Luke Badley-Morgan, Caniah Boyce Clarke and Jamari Clarke of Reading FC, Tyler Roberts and Dexter Lembikisa of Wolverhampton Wanderers; one from Germany in Alexander Bicknell of Fortuna Kohln, one from Spain in Chad James of Marcet FU and two from the USA in Kobi Thomas of Inter Miami 11 and Zion Scarlett of Columbus Crew 11.
The squad is completed by: Tarick Ximines and Devonte Campbell of Mount Pleasant Academy, Lamonth Rochester and Christopher Pearson of Cavalier FC, Romain Blake and Ricardo Watson of Waterhouse FC, Malachai Douglas and Jemone Barclay of Chapleton Maroons, Luis Watson of Santos FC and Duncan McKenzie of Real Mona.
A total of 16 teams will contest the group stage of the championship.
The top three teams from each of the 4 groups will advance to the round of 16 where they will join Curacao, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Puerto Rico who advanced from the qualifiers.
The semi-finals will be played on July 1 and the final on July 3. The four semi-finalists will qualify to next year's FIFA Men's Under-20 World Cup in Indonesia, while the finalists will also book their tickets to the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
