Ferguson takes over as new coach of Portmore United

Weeks after not seeing his contract renewed at Mount Pleasant FC, Davion Ferguson has been appointed the new head coach of Portmore United.

Ferguson was part of the Mount Pleasant coaching staff as an assistant to Theodore Whitmore and guided the team to its first ever Premier League title in 2023.

Portmore are the winningest team in the local premiership, as they are seven time winners and 2-time Caribbean Club champions. Ferguson is also the Technical Director for the Jamaica College football programme.

Ferguson will begin his role at Portmore United on July 1.
