No further clarity on Tracey's disciplinary hearing

Voice of JAAA executive member Ludlow Watts

There's no further clarity on when the disciplinary hearing involving sprinter Tyquendo Tracey will be concluded.

The 2-time national champion was set to have a hearing before a JAAA disciplinary panel prior to the national trials but that hearing was adjourned indefinitetly.

It stems from a disagreement over the 4x100 metre relay team selection at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary last year.

JAAA executive member Ludlow Watts says the situation has dragged on for too long. Watts also sought to assure the public that the local governing body is moving to have the best decision reached for all parties.

There’s now doubt over whether the matter will proceed, given that no statement has been forthcoming from the complainant and Technical Leader Maurice Wilson.
