ISSA president Keith Wellington is downplaying concerns that overseas student athletes are being given preferential treatment in the transfer rules governing high school sports in Jamaica.

At the recent launch of the Boys and Girls Athletics Championships, president of the Inter Secondary School Sports Association (ISSA) Keith Wellington announced that more than 100 overseas student-athletes from 20 different countries would be competing at the 5-day meet. The athletes hail from as far as the African continent.
