Trinidad's Benjamin Martin battled to a one stroke victory in a closely contested 57th Jamaica Open Golf Championships, which concluded at the Tryall Course in Hanover on Tuesday.
Joint day two leader Benjamin Martin held on to his lead on the third and final day carding 1 under par 71 for a three day total of 7 under par 209.
Surprise package Canadian Jacob Lehman was second.
Lehman was three strokes better than Martin on day three, posting 4 under par 68, but, in the end he fell short with a combined score of 6 under par 210. American Mac McLear, who led for the first two days, was joint third with Frenchman Pierre Viallaneix.
The best placed Jamaican was Justin Burrowes who ended 9th with a three day total of 3 over par 219.
Meanwhile, day two leader Jamaican Trey Williams dethroned fellow countryman Sean Morris to capture the amateur title. Williams carded 13 over par 229, to win ahead of joint day one leaders Zandre Roye and Oshae Haye.
