Dancehall artiste Popcaan and beauty queen Toni-Ann Singh have been given the thumbs up for their first collaborative effort, Next To Me.

The pair released the new single and accompanying music video at midnight. The video takes viewers on a scenic ride through various spots in Jamaica.

Next To Me is produced by Anju Blaxx, while Nabil was tasked with creating the visuals of the love-story-inspired single.

The 2019 Miss World winner shared with Radio Jamaica News that it was a dream come true to work with her fellow St Thomas native, adding that she's hoping for future projects together.

"I definitely hope there will be future collaborations, I don't see why not. I honestly think we have so much fun creating together and we mesh really well musically," she said.

As it relates to her rumoured relationship with the 'Unruly Boss', Singh said there is only love between the two and "a lot of it".

She also spoke about how honoured she was to have a song named after her on Burna Boy's album Love, Damini. We also asked if she will be taking the stage at his December 18 concert at the National Stadium, however, she was unable to speak on that topic at this time.

Next To Me is expected to be featured in Popcaan's upcoming project Great Is He.

A release date for the album has not yet been made public.
