Earlier today, Trinidad & Tobago welcomed the decision by Air Canada to resume direct flights from Canada beginning in May next year.
Tourism, Culture, and the Arts Minister Randall Mitchell says the announcement marks a significant moment for travel and for the people of Trinidad and Tobago following the cessation of the direct service from Toronto due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr Mitchell says the flights will again bring the world, and in particular the diaspora closer to the twin island republic facilitating tourism, trade, and the exchange of culture with Canada.
