JLP pours cold water on PNP's success in Friday's by-election

The Jamaica Labour Party has declared that it was not surprised by the People's National Party's win on Friday in the two local government divisions which are traditionally favourable seats for the PNP.
 
On the other hand, the JLP is praising the success of its candidates in the parliamentary by-elections in St Andrew North Western and Trelawny Southern.
 
Senator Abka Fitz-Henley, a Member of the JLP's Communication taskforce, noted that the victories for the PNP in Aenon Town and Morant Bay were not by large margins.
 
According to the preliminary results, the PNP's candidate in Aenon Town won by 54 votes, while in Morant Bay, it was a 118 vote margin
