Consolidated Bakeries reports return to profitability,

Consolidated Bakeries has returned to profitability, reporting improved financial performance for the year ended December 31, 2025.

The company, which produces brands including Purity and Miss Birdie, recorded net profit of $6.5 million, reversing a $12 million loss reported in 2024.

Revenue increased by 3.2 per cent to $1.65 billion.

The company said a major milestone during the year was the refinancing of its debt portfolio through a new $600-million term loan facility with Sagicor Bank Jamaica, helping to reduce short-term repayment pressures and improve financial planning.

The company noted, however, that operations were affected in the final quarter by Hurricane Melissa, which caused temporary store closures and disruptions, particularly in western Jamaica.
