Elite Diagnostic says it will invest some $400 million from a recent bond issue into new diagnostic equipment.
The move comes after machine downtime hurt revenues and profits last year.
The company has also installed solar equipment at its Old Hope Road headquarters to cut energy costs, and hired an in-house service manager to address equipment issues.
Elite has so far this year spent $94 million on upgrades across its three locations, including MRI and CT scan machines.
