Jamaican dollar gains on US currency after BOJ flash sale

The Jamaican dollar gained $0.03 compared to the US currency, after the Bank of Jamaica pumped US$30 million into the market through a flash sale.
 
Eight banks and three cambios were successful in the bid.
 
National Commercial Bank, JMMB Bank and JMMB Securities received the larger shares of the sale.
 
Trading resumes with banks and cambios selling the 'greenback' for an average $158.77.
 
The Canadian dollar is being sold for $115.95.
 
The average value of the Pound is $211.67, while the Euro is going for $176.89.
