KFC's new Christiana restaurant marks $220 million investment in local economy

Restaurants of Jamaica has continued the expansion of its KFC restaurant network, with the opening of its newest outlet in Christiana, Manchester.

The opening of the franchise was in jeopardy close to two weeks ago after Mayor of Mandeville Donovan Mitchell said the building in which the restaurant is being housed was in breach of building codes.

The quick service food giant welcomed the first batch of customers on Sunday.

ROJ says this major investment of approximately $220 million to construct the new restaurant, marks a significant milestone in the brand's continued expansion across Jamaica, creating 40 new jobs and boosting the local economy.

Restaurants of Jamaica says the expansion is in alignment with its ongoing strategy to bring its quick-service experience to more Jamaicans, especially in rural areas, while driving economic growth in these communities.
