Founder and Managing Director of One on One Educational Services, Ricardo Allen, says the company is positioning itself for stronger earnings next year as investments now being made are expected to boost future profitability.
Speaking on Radio Jamaica's Real Business, Mr. Allen said the groundwork is being laid for higher profits in the next financial year and beyond.
His comments come after the company reported pre-tax profit of $64 million for the nine months ended May 31, up to 14.7 per cent a year earlier.
However, revenue slipped 3.6 per cent to $160.7 million.
Mr. Allen also disclosed that the company has applied for a US patent for a new education technology platform currently under development.
He said the technology is designed to provide more responsive learning, real-time assessment of student's abilities, and improved identification of knowledge and skills gap.
