Chief Executive Officer of Pizza Please, Pietro Giuliani, says businesses facing higher operating costs in a challenging market should focus on improving productivity and reducing expenses rather than increasing prices.
Speaking on Radio Jamaica's Real Business, Mr. Giuliani says that this strategy is being adopted by Pizza Please as the company deals with the impact of Hurricane Melissa and the resulting economic slowdown.
He says the approach will make this a difficult year for the company as it works to contain costs while maintaining operations.
Mr. Giuliani says Pizza Please locations in Ocho Rios have been severely affected by damage from Hurricane Melissa and the loss of jobs in the area following the disaster.
