Stationery and Office Supplies (SOS) says it faces setbacks in western Jamaica because of the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa.
Managing Director Allan McDaniel said the company is currently assessing the damage done to its Montego Bay outlet by the hurricane, which resulted in almost a total loss of inventory, valued at between $20 million and $30 million.
He added that the company is currently processing the insurance claim related to these losses.
Mr. McDaniel also revealed that the hurricane will lead to an acceleration of its plans to digitally transform its operations and to increase its online presence to deliver greater convenience to its customers.
