Craig Hendrickson named CEO of National Bakery

Craig Hendrickson has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of National Bakery, succeeding his father, Gary "Butch" Hendrickson, as the company prepares to celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2027.

The announcement was made during a press conference at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston on Tuesday. It marks another generational leadership transition at one of Jamaica's most recognised family-owned manufacturing companies.

Butch Hendrickson, who took over the business from his father, Karl Hendrickson, in the mid-1990s, will remain Chairman of National Bakery.

Under his leadership, the company expanded its manufacturing capacity, distribution network and international presence, with its products now sold across the Caribbean and in other markets, including the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Reflecting on the transition, the senior Hendrickson said he believes the time has come for the next generation to lead the business.

In his first address as CEO, Craig identified sales growth and operational efficiency as his two main priorities, stressing the need for the company's manufacturing and distribution capabilities to keep pace with demand.
