Wigton contemplating additional offer of shares to fund next project

Chief Executive Officer at Wigton Energy Gary Barrow says it is not ruling out an additional offer of shares to the public to help fund its next wave of energy products or expansion, although it is accumulating cash.

Mr. Barrow revealed it has already accumulated $3.14 billion in cash to help fund its upcoming 70-megawatt solar plant, which will significantly increase its revenues and profitability within the next 24 months.

The Wigton CEO noted that the project will have a blended finance structure with 20 per cent to 30 per cent being funded by equity and the remainder through debt and internal resources.

The company says some of the $3 billion in cash it held as at December 31, 2025 will be used to help fund the $10 billion solar project.
