Wigton Energy installs solar PV system for Carreras

Wigton Energy recently installed and commissioned a cutting-edge solar photovoltaic (PV) system at the Ferry Pen headquarters of the Carreras Group Limited.

The system was supplied and installed by Wigton through its Wigton-IEC joint venture with Innovative Energy Company.

It was financed with a solar lease that allows Carreras to utilise clean and renewable solar energy without the need for upfront investment.

CEO of Wigton, Gary Barrow, says the company is committed to the delivery of smart, sustainable energy solutions that help Jamaican businesses to lower their energy costs, reduce their carbon footprint and build resilience.

Franklin Murillo, Managing Director of Carreras, says the partnership with Wigton represents another important step in the company's journey towards greater sustainability.
