The 48-hour curfew imposed on Park Lane and 100 Lane along Red Hills Road in St Andrew has been extended by the St Andrew North police.
The extension took effect 6 p.m., Monday and will continue until 6 p.m., Wednesday.
Persons within the boundaries are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
The security measure forms part of what the police say is its continuing law enforcement operations aimed at maintaining public order and reducing criminal activity in the affected areas.
The most recent flare-up of violence occurred on November 30, following the murder of 50 year-old Park Lane resident Janet Baker.
Ms Baker was shot and killed in a drive-by attack in the community long scarred by gang conflict and recurring violence.
