A fresh set of Haitians have again landed in a section of Portland.
Police sources confirmed that 35 Haitians landed on Sunday morning at a beach in Kensington near Manchioneal in East Portland.
The group, comprising 29 males, five females and one child, was picked up by the Porland Police sometime after 5 a.m.
The group of Haitians was transferred to a nearby health facility in Port Antonio, and are scheduled to be screened and also undertake medical examinations.
The police confirmed that this is the fourth group of Haitians on record to land on Jamaica's shores since the start of the year.
Since that time, the vast majority have had their application for asylum rejected by the government and have been repatriated.
