The authorities are investigating the sudden death of a detainee who was in custody at the Hunts Bay Police lock-up in St. Andrew.
The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Ricardo Byfield of Riverton City, St. Andrew.
Reports are that about 5:55 p.m. Sunday, Byfield complained of chest pains and was taken to National Chest Hospital where he was admitted.
He subsequently died.
The Independent Commission of Investigations is probing the matter.
