Belize opposition leader Shyne Barrow files police report after alleged threat from party colleague

Infighting within the main opposition United Democratic Party in Belize has spilt into the public domain.

On Monday, Belize Opposition Leader Shyne Barrow filed a formal complaint with the police department after reportedly being threatened by the party's second deputy leader, Beverly Williams.

Media reports said the two were engaged in a bitter spat last weekend that quickly became personal, and during the exchange of words, Ms Williams is alleged to have made a threat to Mr Barrow's life.
