JPS is carrying out repairs on its transmission poles in the Bog Walk Gorge.
The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) has advised that the Bog Walk Gorge will remain closed until 10 p.m. on Friday.
The light and power company said this is due to extensive repairs being carried out on transmission poles, and the use of heavy equipment.
The Gorge has been closed since 9 a.m. and was initially scheduled to be reopened at 6 p.m.
Motorists are being advised to use alternative routes including Sligoville, Red Hills and Barry during the period of closure.
Restoration of the line will provide power to more than 100 JPS customers.
