BOJ injects US$30 million into the foreign currency market

The Bank of Jamaica on Tuesday pumped US$30 million into the foreign currency market.
 
Four banks and two cambios were successful in their bid.
 
VM Building Society, Citibank Jamaica and Mayberry Investments received the larger shares of sum on offer.
 
After the intervention, the Jamaican dollar gained 14 cents against the US currency.
