Children's Advocate outraged and sad at killing of 12 year-old

Children's Advocat Diahann Gordon Harrison has expressed grave concern about continued acts of violence against children.

Mrs Gordon Harrison was reacting to the latest incident in which 12 year old Kevaughn Fearon was shot and killed and his mother seriously wounded during a gun attack Friday morning.

She said she hoped the perpetrators will be swiftly brought to justice, while expressing condolence to the family of Kevaughn.

The police say, about 7:30 a.m., Kevaughn's mother was driving along Lindsay Crescent when, on reaching the stoplight at Dunrobin Avenue, the light turned red and she brought the vehicle to a halt.

The police said two men on a motorcycle drove up and the pillion opened fire on the occupants of the motorcar.
