COFCOR urges immediate ceasefire in escalating Middle East conflict

The Caribbean Community Council of Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) has expressed grave concern about the escalating violence in the Middle East, particularly the recent direct military engagements between Israel and Iran.

The council has called for an immediate cessation of hostilities between the two nations.

In a statement yesterday, COFCOR strongly urged Israel and Iran to halt any further military actions that could worsen the situation, endangering not only their own populations but also the broader international community.

It also urged all involved parties to re-engage in diplomatic dialogue, prioritizing peaceful resolutions and cooperation over military actions.
