Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson has asserted that the Jamaica Constabulary Force is undergoing an aggressive programme of modernisation and transformation.

Among the changes he highlighted on Friday is the expansion and enhancment of the workforce.

The Police Commissioner said the work being done is part of the policy direction of the Government to enhance the fight against crime and violence.

He added that members of the JCF have undergone extensive training to boost the capacity of the force.

The vision of the JCF is to be a force that is not only larger but more skilled, more capable, and better equipped to handle the complexities of modern policing, he said.
