The Court Administration Division (CAD) says all court matters scheduled for Thursday at the Spanish Town and Old Harbour courts have been suspended.
CAD says defendants with matters scheduled for the affected courts are encouraged to contact the relevant court or the CAD at 876-586-9783.
The administration said a list of rescheduled court dates will be shared as soon as possible.
The Jamaican Bar Association had earlier advised attorneys not to attend the St. Catherine Parish and Circuit courts on Thursday due to tension in the Spanish Town Area.
