Court remands St. Thomas boys, accused of seriously wounding schoolmate

Two male students from St Thomas Technical High School, accused of seriously wounding one of their peers last month, were remanded when they appeared before the St Thomas Juvenile Court in Yallahs on Monday.

The teens are accused of using a piece of iron to hit a fifteen year old boy in his head, leaving him with a gaping wound and injuries to his neck and hands.

The 15 year-old boy was reportedly attacked by the other boys as he exited the school gate on May 15.

They are to return to court on July 25.

The boy's mother told Radio Jamaica News that her son remains out of school as he has to undergo a series of medical checks.
