Customer service representative accused of $600,000 theft offered bail

By Kimone Witter

A customer service representative accused of stealing more than $600,000 from her employer was on Wednesday offered bail when she appeared in the St. Elizabeth Parish Court.

As a condition of bail, Kadeen Campbell, of Stephens Run in the parish, is to report to the Nain Police once weekly.

The judge also referred the matter to mediation after Ms. Campbell's attorney informed the court that she wanted to make restitution.

The parties are to return to court on November 27.

It was reported that Ms. Campbell, who worked at a courier company, falsified receipts for full payment and then pocketed the balance.

The discrepancies were discovered during an audit.
