Dancehall artiste Valiant, whose given name is Raheem Bowes, appeared before a judge in the Traffic Court on Tuesday afternoon after he was taken into custody on a warrant for outstanding traffic tickets.
Police sources say Valiant had three outstanding tickets from Kingston, St. Ann and Westmoreland.
He was ordered to pay a fine.
It's believed Valiant, who was involved in the accident on Sunday which resulted in Health Minister Christopher Tufton being knocked off his bicycle in St. Andrew, was arrested Tuesday and brought before the court.
Police sources tell Radio Jamaica News that Valiant's licence was run through the system on Sunday, as is routine for anyone involved in a traffic accident.
That's when police discovered that a warrant was issued for his arrest because of his outstanding traffic tickets.
Valiant did not offer a comment on his traffic woes after he left court Tuesday afternoon.
