The Dutch national who was arrested in May trying to smuggle nearly $30 million worth of cocaine through Sangster International Airport in St. James, has pleaded guilty to drug trafficking.
Patrick Crawford, pleaded guilty on Thursday morning before in the St. James Parish Court.
The 44-year-old carpenter of Rotterdam, Holland, is to be sentenced on September 11.
The narcotics police had reported that on May 9, Crawford was preparing to board a flight to Brussels, Belgium, when nearly 14 pounds of cocaine was detected in his luggage.
The drug had an estimated street value of €168,000 or $28 million.
