The Andrew Holness administration is yet to make a decision on the future of the state-owned oil refinery Petrojam.
A committee headed by businessman Chris Zacca examined the refinery and recommended the end to Petrojam's refining operation, and for the facility to be run as a terminal for imported, refined petroleum products.
The committee also recommended a lease of the underlying assets to the private sector to improve its fortunes.
Energy Minister Daryl Vaz says Cabinet is still reviewing the recommendations.
"I am the minister that reports to the Cabinet and the Cabinet makes collective decisions. So it is obvious that if the Cabinet has not directed me in relation to the recommendations that have been made, and everything remains as it is, that those recommendations are still under review. At this particular point and until such time that I have gotten instructions and directives from the Cabinet then there's nothing further that I can do," he said, reiterating that "no decision has been taken".
