Guyana's President, Dr Irfaan Ali is to appoint a Constitutional Reform Commission following the debate on the national budget.
He said while the national budget last year provided allocations for the establishment of the commission, several factors have hindered the move, including tension between Guyana and Venezuela concerning the ongoing border controversy.
The 20-member commission will be drawn from different bodies, including political parties, religious groupings, and the private sector.
