The Independent Commission of Investigations [INDECOM] says it will seek to determine whether there was reasonable and appropriate use of force involving the woman seen in a video in a tussle with a policewoman on the compound of a school in St Catherine.
The woman, 30 year-old Tashana Hylton, was charged with disorderly conduct, assault occasioning bodily harm, and malicious destruction of property.
She was granted $100,000 bail on Tuesday before the St Catherine Parish Court.
Assistant Commissioner at INDECOM Hamish Campbell confirmed that a team is making inquiries in the incident.
He said, on Radio Jamaica's Beyond the Headlines, that he will be seeking a report from the Inspectorate & Professional Responsibility Oversight Bureau, to determine the next steps.
