The Island Traffic Authority has revised its road fatalities figure for 2025, stating that the previously recorded 366 was incorrect.
The revision, which accounts for road fatalities up to December 24, now reflects a death toll of 363 from 316 fatal collisions.
That indicates a 1% increase when compared with the similar period in 2024.
The confirmed figures are expected to continue climbing following two crashes in St. Mary on Thursday, which resulted in at least one death.
Last year the country recorded 365 deaths from 315 deadly collisions.
The ITA is still projecting that 376 road fatalities will be recorded this year, surpassing last year's total.
