Jamaican accused of scamming food delivery app in Cayman, remanded

A Jamaican man who was arrested earlier this month on fraud charges after scamming a local food delivery app in the Cayman Islands is to return to court on October 2.
 
Davoy Palmer, 25, was remanded when he appeared in court on Monday.
 
Mr. Palmer is accused of using multiple aliases to make credit card purchases.
 
He was arrested on September 14 and subsequently charged with three counts of obtaining property by deception as well as overstaying.
 
The police did not say whether Mr. Palmer entered the Cayman Islands on a visitor's visa or as a work permit holder.
