A Jamaican woman who was convicted ten years ago for human trafficking in The Bahamas is again before the court in that country for a similar offence.
Apolonia McLean, 34, was remanded following her appearance in court on Monday.
Mclean is charged with three counts of trafficking in persons.
Prosecutors allege that she transported a woman to New Providence to exploit her between September 1 and November 3, 2023.
Her case will be transferred to the Supreme Court through a voluntary bill of indictment.
The next hearing date is November 21.
In 2014, Mclean was convicted and sentenced to three years and eight months after she was found guilty of trafficking a Jamaican woman, withholding her documentation and forcing her into prostitution.
