The Consumer Affairs Commission (CAC) says Kraft Foods has issued a recall of about 242,000 cases of select Macaroni & Cheese dinners as there is a possibility that small pieces of metal may be inside the boxes.
The recalled boxes are limited to the 7.25-oz. Original flavour boxed dinners with the expiry dates of September 18, 2015, through to October 11, 2015.
According to the statement, the recalled products were shipped to customers in the U.S. and some Caribbean and South American countries.
The CAC says it is speaking with the Inspectorate Division of the Bureau of Standards to determine if any of the recalled items may be in Jamaica. The public has been warned not to use the product if its in their possession.
The CAC also notes that the barcode should be saved the product is dumped. They should also contact Kraft online.
Purchases made in Jamaica, should be returned in the sealed box or with the box bearing the recalled identification batch code, to the point of purchase for a full refund.
