A labourer died in a construction site mishap in Golden Grove, St. Thomas on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Omar Menns of Hampton Court Meadows in Golden Grove.
The incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on the compound of the China Harbour Engineering Company office at Hordley in Golden Grove.
It's reported that Mr. Menns, who was employed to a company that transports construction cement, was tasked with clearing hardened concrete from the mixing tank on a pre-mix motor truck.
While in the process, the truck's mixing tank turned clockwise which pulled Mr. Menns under the tank, crushing him to death.
