Licensed firearm holder detained following shooting death of man in St. Andrew

 
The St. Andrew Central Police have detained a licensed firearm holder for questioning in connection with the shooting death of a businessman during a dispute on Tavern Avenue in St. Andrew on Tuesday morning. 
 
The deceased has been identified as 57-year-old Norris Farquharson, a welder of Tavern Avenue in Papine. 
 
Investigators say about 7 a.m., the two men had a heated dispute.
 
During the dispute, it is alleged that Mr. Farquharson attacked the 52-year-old licensed firearm holder who is employed to the JPS. 
 
The licensed firearm holder reportedly pulled his weapon and shot Mr. Farquharson in the head. He was later pronounced dead at hospital.
