A manhunt is on for an inmate who escaped from the Tamarind Farm Adult Correctional Centre in St. Catherine today.
He has been identified as Nathan Whitter, who was serving a two-year sentence for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
Whitter was among a group of 12 prisoners working on the farm sometime after 11 o'clock when he ran towards the main road at the low security facility and escaped.
