Health & Wellness Minister Dr Christopher Tufton
Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton has announced additional benefits under the National Health Fund.
Dr Tufton says Prostate-Specific Antigen tests will be expanded and a subsidy will come into effect for pap smear tests.
The new benefits under the National Health Fund are to take effect June 10, 2024, and will see men "over 40 years" receiving $1600 per year for their PCA tests, while women "over 21 years old" will receive $1300 per year to finance pap smear tests for crevical cancer.
"We're adding services, based on the challenges in the population," Dr Tufton said.
